Portrait of Adam Lumb

Adam Lumb FCIM has been leading arts organisations in the UK for more than 20 years, repeatedly transforming creative businesses in order to achieve growth in both income and audiences through a unique approach to combining brand strategy, intellectual property management and strategic marketing. With a deep love of brand and visual arts, he now works alongside this as a consultant to creative brands and as a creator in his own right.

His work as a practising artist crosses multiple disciplines including, screenwriting, graphic novels and painting.

His development of brand and IP includes the creation of Royal Armouries Entertainment which bridges museums working with the creative entertainment industries from independents to Hollywood studios across film, TV and video games. This builds on two decades of innovation of IP in digital and e-commerce businesses.

He is a Non-Executive Director of Showroom Cinema Sheffield and Head of Commercial and IP for Royal Armouries group of museums including the Tower of London, Leeds and Portsmouth. He has worked for the National Portrait Gallery, BBC Motion Gallery, Museums Sheffield, West Yorkshire Playhouse. He has trained arts professionals in marketing across the sector through his introduction to marketing courses with the Association for Cultural Enterprises.

Adam is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He holds a degree in the History of Art, Design and Film with Arts and Media Management and qualifications from both the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Chartered Institute of PR in advanced external communications strategy, internal communications and marketing.
